Ah distraction.......
so easy to start, so hard to stop.
Distraction isn't all bad though. I have found some of the most amazing information in my time lost via distraction. I'll admit it, I have a hard time focusing at times, most often when I actually have something I really, really need to do. But instead of being upset by my slips into distraction, I am going to allow myself a bit of time to revel in the discoveries awaiting me when I don't know where I'm going. Then I'll get back to it. Great all the way around!

So much to do
I really try to limit the things I commit myself to. I swear I try. Yet it always seems like I have so many things that I need to do and so little time to actually get them done. How do I balance the committments with the time available to complete them. And how can I get my completion rate to 100%?
I'm sure I could spend less time with my beloved TiVo, but I figure I have got to have some lounging - no brain activity time, or I'll die. All work and no play.....well, you know.
I just want to feel like I'm meeting my committments. And doing a good job to boot.
on to search for ways to get things done!!

Get to work!!!
Well 2009 is one month in and I do believe this year's keyword is going to be - WORK!! I have done a fine job of setting myself up for many projects and it looks as though this is the year to get those projects done.
I'm off to the Tucson Gem Show in a few short days for my yearly buying blowout. It is my hope that I get back and get to work right away. I have jewelry to make and a website to complete. And if that wasn't enough I have dance stuff that needs to get sorted out and planned as well.
I will take a moment to be grateful for all of the success and talent I have been so fortunate to receive. If it wasn't for the positive forces of the universe smiling upon me I would not have the opportunity, or for that matter, the physical capability, to have so many projects to complete!!! Thanks energy field for all the creativity you have provided me with.
Now it's time for me to get my ass off this computer, stop procrastinating and GET TO WORK!

Queen Harish speaks of the stage
I found this post written by the Performer Queen Harish of India, very moving. It made me remember why I perform and how I should not let doubt and fear invade my dance space. I will remember this advice and try to use it.
Dancers The Stage is Your Temple
"In Backstage before a show, i hear promoters and assistants worrying how i feel, when actually i am feeling completely relieved from the tensions of administrating the flying tickets, the embassy interviews for the visa and all the traveling to make the show happen
... and now comes the best time to dance. When you meet the stage, it is like a life journey on the way to God.
I am also posting this thought as i also noticed many of my students worrying before entering on stage, starting to lack confidence in their dance and all the hours they have been practicing.
As they enter the stage, I can see that even they smile, their fear is not going.
The most important time of the show is the entrance, this is the moment you spread the tone of your energy, hitting the bell in the audience.
When i enter a stage, i feel like walking into a temple, before putting my feet on a stage i incline and greet the stage and only after enter the temple. For all dancers, stage is a temple for us! As in all temples, only good energies are inside. It is not possible to have bad energies inside a temple, in the street is possible but not in the temple!!
So, when you are entering in your temple, why do you have fear ? I advise best confidence to all the dancers.

the times they are a changin'
In this world the only constant is change.
I know it to be true. Sometimes I love it, other times, it scares the shit out of me.
Change can bring new opportunities and new beginnings, but change can also mean the end.
I like to think I stay optimistic and embrace change when it happens, but it is not always the case I have found.
For now, I do embrace the changes occuring in my life and around me. I finally feel as though I am old enough, and hopefully wise enough, to take the lessons I have learned thus far and put them to good use.
For now, I am optimistic. Many amazing opportunities have presented themselves to me and it is my time to take advantage of them. All the while, I finally have realized the things in life that are really important to me, and for once, I feel as though I can make the best decisions not only for me, but for those around me.
Thanks universe! Thanks for the fresh air of change!
